I've always been a huge pizza lover and whenever I first became vegan I was a bit concerned that I wasn't gonna be able to eat pizza again but I was SO wrong! I wasn't gonna give up pizza so easily. I researched and found many different ways of making pizza and this recipe in particular is my favorite. Alright let's get cooking!


You Will Need:

Base:
  • Trader Joe’s organic pizza crust or a homemade dough
  • 1/2 cup green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 cup spinach
  • 1/2 brocolli
  • 1/3 cup red onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp each dried or fresh basil, oregano and garlic powder
  • Himalayan salt to taste
Sauce:
  • 1 15-ounce can organic tomato sauce 
  • 1/2 tsp each dried or fresh basil, oregano, garlic powder, granulated sugar
  • Himalayan salt to taste
Toppings:
  • Red pepper flakes
  • Nutritional Yeast 


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  2. Bring large skillet to medium heat. Once hot, add onions, peppers, and broccoli. Season with salt, herbs and stir. Cook until soft  approximately 10 minutes. Set aside.
  3. Prepare sauce by adding tomato sauce to a mixing bowl and adding seasonings and salt to taste. Adjust seasonings as needed. Set aside.
  4.  Transfer dough to any base that fits the pizza and make sure you place a parchment paper underneath. You’re going to add the pizza with the parchment directly to the oven rack to properly crisp the crust.
  5. Top with desired amount of tomato sauce, spinach, a sprinkle of nutritional yeast and the sautéed veggies.
  6. Gently slide the pizza directly onto the oven rack with the parchment underneath. Otherwise it will fall through.
  7. Bake for 15 minutes or until crisp and golden brown.
  8. Serve with nutritional yeast, and red pepper flakes.
