Oatmeal is definitely my go-to breakfast apart from smoothies especially during the colder months. Since we are near the end of summer I decided to share with you guys one of my current obsessions which is this golden oatmeal. What makes the oatmeal have this yellowish tint is a spice called turmeric. Turmeric has many properties that are beneficial for our health as well as being a natural anti-inflammatory. I also incorporated some chopped dates as a natural sweetener and topped it off with a few slices of pear, pumpkin seeds and some chia. Really hope you enjoy....I know I did! x

You Will Need:
1/2 cup oats
1 cup plant milk
1/4 tsp turmeric
2-3 chopped dates

Suggested toppings:
pear, pumpkin seeds and chia.

Pour all ingredients in a pot over medium-high heat.
Let the oats come to a boil then reduce heat and stir often.
Serve with desired toppings.
